Morris Twins, Robinson, Taylor, Selby all declare for draft
Lawrence, Kan. -- It's certainly a sad day for Jayhawk fans. Just four days after suffering a 71-61 upset dealt to them by VCU, five of the Jayhawks top players have all declared for the NBA Draft in June.
To most it's no surprise that the Morris twins we'll be leaving after both posted outstanding numbers. The Morris twins are considered by many analysts to be the best post players in college basketball and are expected to go very early in the draft.
Josh Selby was expected by most to be one and done at the beginning of the year, but after serving a suspension and under performing throughout the season many thought he would stick around for at least another season.
Robinson throughout all the trouble and turmoil has turned out to be one of Kansas's most improved players this season. "“Regardless of where he’s projected, in his particular situation, I think it’s the right move now for him to go ahead and enter. I’d strongly discourage him from coming back. I think he’s paid his dues here, and it’s time for him to move forward into another chapter" Self said.
Losing five talented players along with three key seniors would spell disaster for most programs, but as Kansas fans know "they don't rebuild, they reload."
